Nichiren continues…
We ordinary people can see neither our own eyelashes, which are so close, nor the heavens in the distance. Likewise, we do not see that the Buddha exists within our own hearts.
We own the suffering. We can easily admit hell is right here, but we don’t always believe the Buddha, the enlightenment is right here too. But Nichiren tells us, even when we can’t see it, it’s still there.
Linda Johnson, SGI USA Women’s Leader says, “Since you take you wherever you go, you always have exactly what you need to overcome every obstacle.”
We study the New Year’s Gosho each year to remind ourselves of that.
As we go forward into 2007, the year of Advancement and Victory, let’s win every day with the idea that no matter what I have or don’t have yet, the Buddha is with me, and therefore so is the victory.
Remember...Buddhism is win or lose! Fight every day and WIN!
